Historic & Landmark Building Retrofit
Some of our proudest work is invisible: the strengthening inside the Apple Tower Theatre, the Eastern Columbia, the Taft Building at Hollywood & Vine.
Historic buildings punish shortcuts. The structural work must thread new strength through existing fabric — terra cotta, unreinforced masonry, early concrete — while preserving the architecture that makes the building significant. Our portfolio spans many of Southern California's most recognizable landmarks: the Tower Theatre restored for Apple, the Broadway Hollywood, the Taft Building, the Higgins Building, Grand Central Market and the hotels of the Broadway corridor.
We coordinate closely with preservation architects and structural engineers on scheme selection, sequencing and protection of historic fabric — and we've done it long enough to price it honestly.
