Structural Concrete
“We are more than a concrete company” has been on our letterhead for decades — but structural concrete is still where every project starts.
Structural concrete is the backbone trade behind everything we do: new shear walls and collectors, column and beam jacketing, foundation strengthening, equipment pads and transfer structures, slab infills and new openings, podium decks and below-grade structure. Lehigh Construction places it with self-performed crews under in-house engineering supervision.
The work that distinguishes a structural concrete contractor is not the pour — it is everything around it: demolition and shoring sequence in a building that stays open, doweling and surface preparation that make new concrete act as one with old, reinforcement congestion solved in the field without compromising the design, and protection of finishes, tenants and schedules.
Our structural concrete record runs from civic and institutional work (LAUSD headquarters, LADWP, the VA campus in North Hills) through hotel and high-rise strengthening to the conversion projects that remade Downtown Los Angeles.
