Tilt-Up & Industrial Seismic Retrofit
Tilt-up buildings fail at the roof line. We have retrofitted more than forty of them — for national retailers, food producers and industrial owners.
Concrete tilt-up buildings from the 1950s–70s share a known weakness: the connection between walls and roof. Retrofitting them — anchoring walls to roof framing, strengthening diaphragms and collectors — is fast, disruptive if done wrong, and essential in jurisdictions that mandate it.
Lehigh Construction has completed tilt-up seismic retrofit programs for Smart & Final (six stores), Interstate Brands' Weber Bread plants, The Gap, Urban Outfitters, Guitar Center, Pep Boys, See's Candies and dozens of industrial owners across LA County — often with engineering and construction delivered together, and usually while the facility kept operating.
